Team Associated RC10 - History

The RC10 RC car was developed by Team Associated and released in 1984. It was one of the first successful and widely-raced radio-controlled electric off-road vehicles. The car featured a unique 2-belt drivetrain and a lightweight aluminum chassis, which set it apart from other cars on the market at the time.

The RC10 quickly gained popularity in the RC racing community, and in 1985, it won the inaugural IFMAR 1:10 Electric Off-Road World Championship. Over the next several years, Team Associated continued to improve and update the RC10, releasing new versions such as the RC10T, RC10GT, and RC10LS. Despite the release of newer models, the original RC10 remained popular and was still being raced competitively into the 2000s.

The RC10 was a game changer and it was a major influence on the design of RC cars that came after it.
