RC Drift Cars

The first radio-controlled model drift car is widely attributed to the company Yokomo. Yokomo is a Japanese manufacturer that has been involved in the RC car industry since the 1980s. In the mid-1990s, Yokomo released the "Yokomo Drift Package," which is considered the first dedicated RC drift car kit. This kit included specific drift tires and modifications to the chassis and suspension geometry to enhance drifting performance. The Yokomo Drift Package became extremely popular and set the foundation for the RC drift car scene that continues to thrive today. Other manufacturers have since entered the RC drift car market, but Yokomo is recognized for pioneering this segment of the hobby.
