Refund policy
All products purchased from Techtonic Hobbies physical store or online shop can be returned if in original unused condition of purchase. No open bags or boxes are accepted. We have a 25% re-stocking fee for all items returned. Older or discontinued and specialised items may incur a larger fee.
Change of mind returns will only be accepted within 7 days from receipt of product - all returns must be presented with a valid proof of purchase / receipt.
Faulty products
If you have received a faulty item, please contact us so we can arrange the product to be returned to us for assessment. We may check manufacturer standard warranty terms to verify the product is still under warranty.
A copy of the original invoice or reference number must be included with the returned product. If proof of purchase is not provided, we may not be able to offer a replacement product, repair, credit, or refund.
You must make sure that the returned product is suitably packaged to prevent further damage during return shipping. We will not accept responsibility for goods, which are damaged whilst in transit back to us.
Upon receipt of a faulty product, we will either test the product ourselves or return the product to the manufacturer or supplier for assessment. Goods that require testing may take up to 30 business days.
If a fault is detected, and is not due to wear and tear, or misuse, we will offer you a replacement, repair, credit, or refund. Evidence of misuse, corrosion, excessive force or lack of care and maintenance will be deemed as user error.
If the fault does not fit the above criteria and is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty, then a replacement, credit or refund may not be provided. We may offer to repair the product at your cost. We will provide an estimate of any charges before commencing with any repairs.
Obviously, full refunds including shipping costs will be made for all products with major faults/defects as per Australian Consumer Law and items returned for major faults/defects will not be charged restocking fees.
Techtonic Hobbies shall have no liability to you for any failure or delay in supply or delivery or of any damage or defects to goods supplied or delivered hereunder that is caused by an event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control
Pre-ordered Items
Goods that are pre-ordered or custom orders must be paid for up front and refunds will not be issued if the customer changes their mind. Refunds for pre-orders / custom order will only be issued if the product is not supplied due to manufacturer / supplier issues following a minimum period of 6 months.
General Note
Please note: RC models are warranted for manufacture defects only. This hobby involves moving models which often suffer from damage when they are put under undue strain or when the collide with objects or are subjected to water. Techtonic Hobbies cannot be held responsible for items which are damaged through use, and as such please understand that no warranty of any kind is offered on items once they have been used if the item has suffered damage from any of the conditions listed above. We have no way of telling what a model has been subjected to once it leaves the store / warehouse. Your consumer rights are not affected.

You can return products in person or via Mail. We can receive returns during normal business hours, Monday to Friday.
The original cost of shipping is not refundable for products which are not defective.
You will receive either a store credit or refund to the original account the sale was made from - eg Card, Cash or Paypal.
