The 209-2100 series is a commuter train that began operation in 2009 to replace the 113 and 211 series that were in operation in the Boso region. All carriages have been converted from carriages that were in operation on other lines, with semi-cross seats in the front car and toilets in the middle cars. There are 6-car and 4-car formations, and these are coupled together to form a maximum of 10 carriages.
- Reproduces the appearance of the Moha 208 with a toilet attached to the body
- Reproduces the appearance of the Kuha 209 and Kuha 208 modified to semi-cross seats
- Reproduces the reinforced skirt of the leading car
- Reproduces the appearance of the car body end without beads
- The front display part is replaceable and pre-printed parts are already attached, replacement parts are included
- The car number is selectable and a transfer sheet is included
- The head and tail lights and front display part are equipped with a constant lighting board and an ON-OFF switch
- The head and tail lights and front display part are lit by white LEDs
- Only the leading car driver's cab side is equipped with a TN coupler (SP)
- Uses a power source with a flywheel
- Uses a new current collecting system and black wheels
- Uses an M-13 motor
