Painting Guide – Box Art Colours
The Wild Willy 2 body shell is made of hard ABS plastic. Use Tamiya TS spray paints or X/XF acrylic jars for best results.
⚠️ Important: Do not use Tamiya PS (Polycarbonate) sprays on the main body — these are formulated for clear Lexan shells and will not finish correctly on ABS plastic.

- TS-28 Olive Drab 2 / XF-62 Olive Drab – Primary matte base coat for the military jeep body and spare tire cover
- TS-6 Matt Black / XF-1 Flat Black – Wheel arches, chassis accents, and secondary mechanical details
- X-11 Chrome Silver (Enamel) – Front grille badge, radiator details, rivets, and exposed metal bolts

- TS-35 Park Green – Mounted rear jerry can (some builders use XF-3 Flat Yellow to match older box art)

Recommended Primer & Prep
- Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer (White) / Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer (Grey) – Essential for adhesion on slick ABS plastic and preventing chemical reactions. White primer is recommended for helmet and skin tones to pop cleanly.
Masking Tape
For clean paint lines on the driver figure and body details, use flexible masking tape to seal edges before filling larger areas with standard tape.
