Tamiya Toyota LC 300 (CC-02)

Sale price$369.00

The Land Cruiser 300, Toyota's latest heavy 4x4, is a robust and powerful combustion-powered vehicle that excels in off-road adventures, allowing you to venture deep into the bush, outback, or desert, surpassing any other vehicle on the road.

Prepare for an exhilarating trail exploration with the all-new Tamiya CC-02 (Cross Country 2) chassis platform! Tamiya's dedicated team of designers has worked tirelessly to introduce RC enthusiasts to the next generation of trail driving with a completely overhauled machine.

Key Features of the CC-02 Chassis:

- The ladder frame of the CC-02 chassis draws inspiration from full-size vehicles, ensuring superior durability and making it ideal for various off-road terrains, including rocky surfaces.

- The 4WD setup places the motor longitudinally behind the front axle, featuring a separate gearbox and transfer case. Propeller shafts efficiently transmit power to the differential gears both at the front and rear.

- The chassis offers twenty gear ratios ranging from 11.09:1 to 29.28:1, allowing precise fine-tuning for optimal performance. The ability to use separately sold pinion gears enhances customization options.

- Equipped with 4-link rigid suspension at the front and rear, supported by CVA oil dampers, ensuring a smooth and controlled ride over challenging terrain.

- The differential gears, designed with three-bevel configuration, facilitate seamless driving, and they can be locked (with reassembly) for improved performance on rough surfaces.

- Sturdy axle housings enclose a central differential gear and axle shafts, contributing to a robust setup that enhances the chassis' ability to tackle rough terrains. When one wheel rises, the other is pushed downward, aiding in maintaining traction.

- Realistic gearbox and transfer case route power from the motor to the differential gears and ultimately to the wheels.

- The 4-link suspension utilizes four plastic link arms on each axle housing, complemented by four oil dampers, ensuring both durability and ample ground clearance.

Note on Pricing: The kit's price assumes that the standard ESC unit is not required. For the kit with the ESC included, customers can opt for either the Carson Dragster or Tamiya Hobbywing ESC, adding £15-£18 to the total cost. Please be aware that Tamiya kits do not come shrink-wrapped in the UK or Japan, and the box sticker may indicate "ESC Included" whether you choose to include it or not.

Options Explained:

- Bearing Upgrade: These optional upgrades enhance the car's smoothness during operation and can be easily installed during assembly. If there is no option for bearing upgrade shown, it means the kit already includes it as standard.

- Radio System: Customers have the choice between a TWIN STICK (Traditional) radio or a Steering Wheel (Modern) radio. Both operate on 2.4Ghz and utilize the new Crystal-Free technology, enabling the simultaneous use of multiple cars without interference. All radios selected from this page will include a steering servo, as it is not included in the kit.

- ESC: The ESC serves as the connection between the radio system and the motor. Two options are available due to the unavailability of the standard Tamiya unit: the Tamiya Hobbywing or Carson Dragster (Tamiya Germany) units. The model number (e.g., 20 or 15) indicates the motor capacity of the unit, with lower numbers corresponding to more powerful motor support. Both options are compatible with the motor in the kit.

- Battery: Customers can choose the battery based on desired run time, with higher numbers indicating longer operation.

- Charger: Charging time is proportional to the chosen battery. Different chargers are available, such as USB chargers (around 4 hours for the 1800 battery), Mid Speed chargers (around 2 to 3 hours), Mistral 5 Amp Mains chargers (approximately 25 minutes in the house), and Hyper Delta chargers (around 30 minutes in the car or one hour in the house).
