The Razorback Mustang — Before the Bubble Canopy
The P-51B Mustang predates the iconic bubble-canopied D-variant and is instantly recognisable by its distinctive “Razorback” fuselage spine. Powered by the same Rolls-Royce Merlin engine that made the Mustang legendary, the B-variant played a crucial role escorting Allied bombers over Europe, dramatically reducing losses and helping turn the tide of the air war.
