Tamiya, staying true to form, has meticulously recreated the MK2 GTI as a rally race car, a spectacle witnessed in A7 class competition. The vehicle's chassis is anchored on the MF-01 platform, ideal for performance on both asphalt and level dirt terrains.
MF-01X - A Compact 4WD Suited for Diverse Surfaces
Structured around a resilient monocoque frame housing integrated gearboxes, this compact 4WD chassis delivers an exhilarating driving experience, whether maneuvering on roads or smooth dirt surfaces. It is equipped with a rear-mounted motor, propelling gear-driven rear wheels and a propeller shaft transmitting power to the front. Differential gears grace both the front and rear gearboxes. The strategic placement of the battery pack at the chassis center ensures outstanding balance, complemented by a 4-wheel independent double wishbone suspension featuring friction dampers.

• Crafted from lightweight polycarbonate for the body.
