Revell 07713 1/24 Scale Trabant 601S “Builder’s Choice”
The Trabant is one of the most iconic and recognisable cars in automotive history — the people’s car of the German Democratic Republic. First presented to the public in 1956 and produced until 1991, the Trabant 601 entered production in 1964 and became the longest-produced version of the model. Powered by a 2-cylinder, 0.6-litre engine producing 23–26hp, approximately 3.1 million examples were built at the VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke plant in Zwickau. Its distinctive plastic body reduced weight and improved corrosion resistance — a practical solution that became a cultural icon.
