This model is based on the A320neo family of narrow-body airliners produced by Airbus, which is known for its fuel efficiency and use of new engine options. The A320neo is equipped with CFM LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1000G engines and fitted with sharklets, making it 15% to 20% more fuel efficient than the previous A320-200. With over 130 customers having ordered a total of 8,665 A320neo family aircraft, this is a popular model in the aviation industry. Plus, the global A320neo fleet has an impressive track record of completing more than 5.51 million flights over 11 million block hours with only one hull loss being an airport-safety related or non-aeronautical accident.
