Tamiya 35313 1/35 Scale Us Light Tank M5A1 - Pursuit Operation W/4 Figures Model Kit
Tamiya 35313 1/35 Scale US Light Tank M5A1 - Pursuit Operation model kit, which includes 4 figures. The M3/M5 Stuart tank was a light tank used by the American military during World War II. It was created in 1940 to replace the older M2 tank, and the first production model, the M3, was released in March 1941. Production of this tank continued until 1945, resulting in over 22,000 units being produced. The M3 was powered by either a Continental W-970-9A 7-cylinder engine or a Guilberson T-1020-4 diesel engine, while the M5 tank was powered by two Cadillac V-8 engines. Various versions of the M3 tank were produced, including the M3A1 and M3A3. The M5 was essentially a modified version of the M3, and it was produced in two versions: the M5 and M5A1. The latter had an elongated turret and improved cannon and machine gun mounts. The M8 self-propelled gun was also created based on the M3/M5 tank. These tanks were exported to Great Britain and were used in various battles during the war. The M3/M5 Stuart tank is considered one of the best light tanks of World War II due to its range, speed, and maneuverability. Its technical data includes a length (with a barrel) of 4.52m, width of 2.24m, height of 2.52m, engine power of 210-250HP, range of 217km, maximum speed (on the road) of 58km/h, and armament of 1 M6 37mm cannon and 2 7.62mm M1919 machine guns.
