Revell have done it again  with a fantastic 1/72 rendition of the infamous Jagdpanther. this is a very iconic and deadily vehicle and you can assmelbe and bring one to life yourself! Faced with the growing number of effective Soviet tanks in the east and the threat of a second front in the west, the Panther was modified to develop the Jagdpanther or 'Hunting Panther'. It was essentially a Panther hull with a powerful 88mm PaK 43 L / 71 anti tank cannon slapped into it. The first prototypes of the vehicle were created in 1943, and serial production continued in the period 1944-1945, ending with the production of 392 units. The Jagdpanther was powered by a 700hp Maybach HL 230 P30 single engine much like the Panther. It would first see action in the summer of 1944 in Normandy, where in limited numbers it fought against the Western Allies in France and in the Ardennes operation at the turn of 1944-1945. It also appeared on the Eastern Front in the fall of 1944, successfully fighting both the T-34 and the heavy IS-2 tanks. After World War II, some Jagdpanthers even served in the French army until the 1960s!
