The Italeri 7026 1/72 Scale German Guns Set is an excellent model kit that allows you to recreate some of the most iconic and effective German anti-tank and anti-aircraft guns of World War II. This kit includes three models: the PAK36, PAK40, and FLAK38. Let's take a closer look at each of them. The 3.7 cm PaK 36 was a light anti-tank gun that entered service in 1936 and quickly proved to be an excellent weapon. It was widely copied by other nations but by 1940, the thicker armor of many tanks was making the gun less effective. Despite this, it continued to see service throughout the war and was helped by innovations in ammunition. This makes it an essential model for any serious World War II enthusiast. The 7.5 cm PaK 40 was developed in response to the thicker armor of Soviet tanks, which proved to be a problem for the PAK36. The PAK40 was an excellent weapon that was heavy and needed to be towed into position. It first entered service in November 1941 and was used throughout the war. This gun was especially effective against Soviet tanks, and its presence on the battlefield was often enough to deter enemy tanks from advancing. The third piece of ordnance in this set is the 2 cm Flakvierling 38 Anti-Aircraft gun. Originally developed for the navy, it entered service with the army and air force in 1940. Its four 2 cm guns required a crew of seven plus a commander, but it was well respected by Allied airmen. The Flakvierling was a versatile gun that was used both as an anti-aircraft weapon and as an anti-tank gun. This kit includes plastic parts that are highly detailed, and assembly is easy thanks to the clear instructions included. With this model, you can recreate the German anti-tank and anti-aircraft defenses of World War II and add an extra layer of authenticity to your collection.
