The Sd.Kfz. 234/4 was a key asset for the German army during the final phases of WWII, offering mobility, protection, and offensive capability. Armed with a powerful 75mm KwK 40 gun mounted in a fixed open-top combat chamber, it combined the speed of a wheeled armoured car with the firepower of a tank destroyer. This Italeri 1/72 kit faithfully recreates this iconic vehicle, complete with detailed combat chamber, gun shield, and eight-wheel drive chassis.

This kit uses rigid styrene plastic — paint with Tamiya Acrylic Mini (XF series) for brush painting. The Sd.Kfz. 234/4 was a late-war vehicle typically finished in the German three-tone ambush camouflage scheme of Dark Yellow, Red Brown, and Olive Green.

- Tamiya Acrylic Mini XF-60 Dark Yellow — Dunkelgelb base coat across the entire vehicle
- Tamiya Acrylic Mini XF-64 Red Brown — ambush camouflage stripes over the base coat

- Tamiya Acrylic Mini XF-57 Buff — dry-brush highlight for a dusty, sun-faded field finish

- Tamiya Acrylic Mini XF-1 Flat Black — tyres, muzzle brake, exhaust, and deep shadow areas
- Tamiya Acrylic Mini XF-52 Flat Earth — mud and earth weathering on lower hull, wheels, and undercarriage
Tip: Apply the Dark Yellow base first, then use a fine brush to add the Red Brown and Olive Green camouflage. Finish with a thin wash of Tamiya Panel Line Accent Color (Dark Brown) to bring out the engraved surface detail on the hull and open-top fighting compartment.
