35346 | Tamiya 1/35 U.S. M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight" Tank Scaled Plastic Model Kit

The M4 Sherman tank played a significant role in WWII and was deployed in large numbers in various versions to counter German armor. One of the final versions was the M4A3E8, which featured design improvements based on battle experience. These included a welded hull, a 76mm main gun, and a new suspension system that provided a smoother ride, earning it the nickname "Easy Eight". During the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944, the M4A3E8 tanks were used for the first time by the 4th Armored Division under General Patton's command to help relieve the besieged town of Bastogne and contribute to the Allies' eventual victory in Europe. This kit is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly that accurately represents the M4A3E8 tank. The kit includes parts that capture the subtle curves of the turret, the flat welded hull panels, and the new suspension system. The tracks are realistically depicted using belt-type parts, and the drive sprockets feature precisely molded holes. The kit also includes realistic details such as the engine grille, rear-installed deflector, and tool parts, as well as clear parts for the headlight lenses and cupola vision blocks. A commander torso figure and decals for tanks from two different units in the European Theater at the end of WWII are also included. The length of the assembled model is 214mm, and the width is 86mm.
